An Eden Project Seminar

(Re)Story

We believe as we are (re)storied through counter-narratives,
we are discovering God is better than we believed him to be.

Have you ever struggled to understand how a God who is love would tolerate evil and even actively bring about destruction?

These are tough issues, but there are solid, biblical answers, and understanding them will open up deeper ways of seeing and appreciating the love of God.

Join us for the (Re)Story seminar, a half-day equipping event with Dr. Scott Booth, the Founder and President of Footnote along with Eden Project Co-Founder & CEO Dr. Nathan Wagnon as they (re)train you to read “problem” passages in the Old Testament better.

This could be a significant step for you toward countering incomplete and even distorted biblical narratives with a bigger story of a greater love, one we encounter right in the midst of enormous amounts of dysfunction.

Instead of these passages continuing to be a hangup for you and others, they actually serve to show the vastness of God’s love.

Why We’re Hosting The (Re)Story Seminar

Too many of us cognitively affirm “God is love” but struggle to believe it, especially when reading some biblical narratives that seem to suggest otherwise. Most of us have been trained to read the bible one-dimensionally, not appreciating the historical, cultural, literary, etc. context. But when read and understood properly, not only do these “problem” passages come to light in a fresh, new way, they actually allow us to encounter in deeper ways the reality that God is love.

What You’ll Experience

The (Re)Story seminar will guide you through select Old Testament passages to help you see the love of God in the midst of a lot of brokenness.
