The Journey Home Retreat is a two-night retreat designed to deepen your connection with God, yourself, and others.

Prioritize a few days away and we’ll help you experience more of what you were designed for in Eden.

When

September 30 – October 2, 2027

Thursday – Saturday Retreat

Our retreat begins with you arriving between 3:00-3:30pm to get settled into your room. Our first session is at 4pm. Plan to stay until our hard stop at 12:30pm on the final day of our retreat.

One month before the start of the retreat you will receive our curated pre-work. We encourage you to set aside a hour a week to engage deeply with God through your Pre-work.

Investment

The Journey Home is a generous investment into your relationship with God.

Registration is priced per person, not per room.

We offer two lodging options to best fit your needs:

$585 per person for Double Occupancy | A discounted rate for two people sharing a room, most often a spouse or friend. We can also pair you with someone of the same gender to secure this rate. This is what each participant pays, not a total price for the room. ($585×2=$1,170)
$785 per person for Single Occupancy | A private room to yourself. Choose this if you’re attending alone and want your own space.

Chris Kear
Eden Retreat Facilitator

Chris Kear serves as Director of Engagement at The Eden Project, where he casts vision for retreats and cohorts, builds relationships with pastors and organizational leaders, and develops retreat facilitators — all in service of helping people discover what it means to live at home in the love of God and thus minister from the overflow of that.

For over two decades, Chris served in local church ministry, including as an Executive Pastor, before founding and leading Downline Conway for twelve years — a disciple-making ministry that served 30+ churches and sent out more than 350 disciple-makers across central Arkansas. That work shaped him deeply. So did his own experience as an Eden participant, where he encountered something he hadn’t expected: the difference between doing things for God and learning to live with Him. That shift changed the way he leads, and it’s the heart of what he now invites others into.

He and his wife Tara have three children and live in Conway, AR. Chris enjoys outdoor adventures of all sorts, but especially fly fishing, hunting, and cycling.

The Journey Home Retreat is a safe place to lay aside your responsibilities at home and work to simply be souls before God. The reality for all of us is that even when we are in a healthy season, we long for more, relationally.

I was impacted by the depth of God's love for me. I have known that in my head, and experienced his kindness, but something about the combination of experiencing God come to me in specific ways in this relational, intentional space opened a deeper level of experiential knowing in me.
